Among Us Color Changer Mod

Among Us Color Changer Mod

The Color Changer mod is one of the latest mods to appear in Among Us, and it’s also one of the most fun.

The Color Changer mod is available on Skeld.net, a private and community-created server. After installing the Color Changer mod, players can enter a lobby and join a game. At the beginning, players will all look exactly the same. Everyone will be dressed in a lab coat and an artist’s beret, and they will have the stick figure pet beside them and players’ names will be removed. This makes it nearly impossible for players to identify one another, and can even make it difficult for players to remember the colors they  have cycled through.  Players can find out their current color during emergency meetings or when a dead body has been reported by typing into the chat, as their chat box will reflect their most recent color. For anyone looking for an extra challenge in Among Us, this is it.

Once the game actually begins, players’ colors will begin to change every thirty seconds.

The rest of the game is played the same as Among Us in classic mode. With the extra challenge of not knowing anyone’s name or color, crewmates will have a more difficult time calling out Impostors unless they catch them in the act before their colors shift. In addition, Impostors will have a difficult time keeping track of their fellow Impostor and the crewmates.

This is where the real challenge begins, as it’s difficult to track players without having names displayed and a constant color to focus on. Among Us is already pretty chaotic, and the Color Changer mod amps up the chaos even more – but it’s also incredibly fun.

Among Us: 5 Best Desktop & Mobile Background Designs All Colors

The Color Changer mod is quickly becoming one of the best custom games in Among Us. It adds an extra layer of mystery to the game, which should thrill players who enjoy more intense and chaotic matches. It’s also one of the few mods that doesn’t appear to favor and overpower Impostors or crewmates. Instead, everyone is on a fairly even playing field, making the Color Changer mod somewhat unique.

Many of the mods in Among Us favor Impostors, and even statistics from developer InnerSloth indicate that Impostors win more than crewmates. By having names removed and colors constantly changing, though, everyone is on equal terms. It’s just as confusing for crewmates as it is for Impostors.

Ideally, Impostors can take advantage of this mechanic by making a kill in a remote location, then staying out of sight until their color changes, as long as they have a solid alibi for where they have been. If they time it right, Impostors can even wait to make their kill until just before they change color for an added level of safety.

Some crewmates choose to stay in groups to keep track of another player’s color changes along with their own. This can help players develop an alibi or check to make sure their partner isn’t the Impostor. Crewmates partnering up can cause immense problems for the Impostor, as it can be difficult to catch a crewmate alone and execute a kill. Impostors can try to lie to say they were one color or another, but, if someone was looking and paying attention to their partner’s color shifts, this can immediately out them as the Impostor as well.

This means the Color Changer mod is both a fun and fair way to enjoy Among Us.

In this mode, communication becomes extremely important, as players can really only identify themselves to one another during meetings when voice chatting. It can become both easier and more difficult to take a player at their word when they insist on the colors they have cycled through and tasks they have been doing when no one can truly trust what they have seen.

The list of mods in Among Us continues to grow. It seems there’s no shortage of new and innovative ways to play the game. The Color Changer mod is definitely one of the most fun and fair mods to come to the game. For anyone looking for a new challenge in Among Us, the Color Changer mod is definitely great.
