The Jail Break (Prison Escape) mod takes the base game and adds several twists to it, including different roles and abilities. Instead of Imposters and Crew Members, teams are split into Guards and the lone Prisoner where the latter tries to escape the map while being hunted by the rest.
The Prisoner in this Among Us mod has access to several abilities to aid them in their escape.
Among Us’s Prison Escape mod and where to find it
To partake in the Prison Escape mod for Among Us, head to skeld.net to join one of the biggest Among Us public servers available for use. The site contains different download options for PC and Mobiles users. Players can pick and choose between different versions of Among Us.
Jailbreak is not publicly available. Skeld.net normally hosts these games, but this is an exclusive mode. That means if you pay $1,000 to $3,000 to Skeld.net via their Discord, they will create a mode just for you. Jailbreak seems to be one of the most popular right now. However, there is another mode that is similar and free called Cops and Robbers.
Prison Escape pins 9 Guards against 1 prisoner who runs around deceiving and killing off his opponents. There are new features to hide and escape with, such as the piles of laundry littered throughout the map for the Prisoner to seek shelter in.
The base game is still relatively the same with 2 teams, where the first has to investigate and snuff out the ‘Imposter’. However, they aren’t trying to vote anyone out; instead, they are trying to prevent the Prisoner from escaping.
Prisoners can use all sorts of traps in their arsenal, like the deployable wall or bear trap, to keep away from the Guards at all costs. If the Among Us Prisoner can complete all of their tasks in time, an escape helicopter will arrive as the ticket out.
This Among Us mod offers players a refreshing twist when they get bored of the ordinary action held within. There are several different game modes to play inside skeld.net, featuring the Prison Escape mod created by the moderators of the server.
Skeld hosts Cops and Robbers for free on PC. Innersloth, the developers of Among Us, stopped supporting Skeld in their mobile app. So, currently, it is not possible to play any of the mods on mobile.
There are some other downloadable places claiming to host the game, but we never recommend downloading from sites that aren’t at least officially supported by Innersloth, the developers for Among Us.

If you have Among Us on Steam:
- Go to Skeld.net and scroll down to Windows.
- Download the file from the site and click run.
- Skeld.net will check to see if players have Among Us, and from there, it will start the game.
- Click Online.
If you have Among Us on Epic Games:
- Go to Skeld.net and scroll down to Windows.
- Download the file from the site and click run.
- Make sure Among Us is closed.
- Click on the search bar on the bottom left of your screen.
- Copy and paste this into your search bar:

- Click open or on the first result.
- A command bar will appear and then quickly disappear.
- Start Among Us in the Epic Games app.

You will see “skeld.net” in the main menu instead of North America or the regular Among Us servers if it is running. The process of running a mode is as simple as hosting a game, entering /gamemode in the chat, and then entering the chosen mode.
